Kathleen Arnold joined Holmes Weddle & Barcott in 2025, bringing more than a decade of experience across litigation and civil practice. Her background includes substantial work in criminal prosecution, family law, probate, estate planning, and other civil matters, giving her a broad perspective and strong advocacy skills that benefit clients across a wide range of legal issues. Kathleen’s practice at Holmes Weddle & Barcott focuses on general civil litigation and assisting clients in navigating complex legal issues with clarity and practical guidance.
Before joining the firm, Kathleen served as a prosecutor in Idaho, where she handled a wide range of criminal and civil matters. She tried multiple jury and bench trials and argued cases before the Idaho Supreme Court. Kathleen later served as Managing Attorney for a regional office of legal aid in Idaho, where she oversaw diverse matters including family law, housing, elder law, guardianships, and estate planning, as well as managing staff and case strategy.
Kathleen began her legal career in private practice focusing on probate and estate planning. During law school, she gained experience through internships and clinical work supporting civil litigation and public‑interest matters. She earned her J.D. from the University of Idaho College of Law in 2011, with an academic emphasis on environmental law, and holds an undergraduate degree in Philosophy.
Outside the office, Kathleen enjoys camping and hiking with her family and exploring Alaska’s landscapes.
